D.A. Plans Warrant Round-Up for Bad Check Writers
San Antonio, Texas: August 2, 2010
District Attorney Susan D. Reed will have several teams of Investigators along with Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrant Deputies knocking on doors as early as 5:00 AM on August 2, 2010. The teams will be looking for fugitives with outstanding warrants for writing hot checks. Approximately sixty-plus fugitives are targeted for arrest. Individuals targeted in this round up range from housewives to local business men and offenses range from Misdemeanors to Felonies. The arrest teams will be searching for the fugitives at their home, school, or place of employment. The District Attorney’s objective is to make it clear that “Writing bad checks is a serious crime for which you can and will go to jail.”
