The Jury Reimbursement Donation Program is a fund raised through the generosity of people who are called to jury duty in Bexar County.  Jurors who voluntarily donate their daily jury reimbursement help provide for the basic and special needs of abused and neglected children.

The Jury Reimbursement Donation Program was created because state and county social services funding cannot provide for all of the needs of these children and their families.

All voluntary donations directly benefit abused and neglected children living with their families or foster families.  Funding helps provide shoes, clothing, healthcare, medicine, school supplies, bedding, counseling, toiletries, diapers, cribs, safety car seats, and gifts for holidays and birthdays.

Is abuse and neglect a problem in Bexar County?
The multitude of children in Bexar County who suffer from physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse, and neglect continues to grow every year.  These children lack the safety, care and security that every child needs and deserves.  Many of these victims do not have clean clothes, shoes to wear, food to eat, a place to sleep or other basic necessities that are often taken for granted.

How can I participate in the Jury Reimbursement Donation Program?
As a juror, you may voluntarily donate your jury reimbursement by simply telling the jury bailiffs of your desire to contribute to the Jury Reimbursement Donation Program.  Even a small contribution can make a big difference in the life of a child.
