Motor Vehicle Registration
As a Texas Resident, state law requires you to register and title your vehicle. Registrations can be renewed at any Tax Office location. For a minimal fee registrations can be renewed at any of the 15 auto title service locations throughout Bexar County. For your added convenience, and if you have a current renewal notice from the State, you may renew your registration for vehicles only (not trailers or motorcycles) at any HEB store in Bexar County. The grocery store registration is available daytime, evenings and weekends for the convenience of taxpayers of Bexar County for an additional $1.00 fee. Please be sure to have current proof of insurance with you at the time of your renewal registration. Registration window stickers may also be renewed by mail. Send your renewal form, a photo copy of proof of insurance and your check for the registration amount PLUS $1.00 to: Bexar County Tax Office, P. O. Box 839950, San Antonio, Texas 78283-3950. Your new window sticker (or new plates) will be sent to you within 10 working days.
